Internet marketing involves a wide array of different strategies, ideas, and tactics. Just as abundant are the terms used in Internet marketing. I put together a web glossary of terms to help demystify many of the common terms used in online marketing. Specifically I focused on terms and definitions that are relevant to local businesses and SMB’s.

Internet Marketing Dictionary Index:

Earned Media – This type of media represents any sort of activity that is generated by third party sources about a company. Most of earned media exist outside of any of the companies properties. So online shares in social media, product and service reviews, and word of mouth shares on forums and blog comments would count as earned media. In the offline world, word of mouth referrals would be a typical type of earned media.

External Link – A type of link from 1 website that goes to another website.
